Drive-up voter registration is set for Saturday news@woburnonline.com WOBURN - The city's first "drive-through" voter registration event will be held on Saturday (10 a.m. to noon) in the City Hall parking lot. Prospective voters will be able to register without leaving their cars, as officials from the city's Board of Registrars of Voters will be on hand with the necessary forms. Residents of any community can register at the event, City Clerk William Campbell noted. The deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 15, to register to vote in the national election on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Prospective voters can still register over the counter at the City Clerk's office or by mail by sending in a voter registration form available at City Hall or a number of other venues. The November election features what is expected to be a close vote tally between Arizona Sen. John McCain and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. There are other contested races, as well as three referendum questions. For more information, please call the City Clerk's office at 781-897-5850.
