WOBURN - A pizza deliveryman was attacked by four men in an apparent robbery attempt at the Kimball Court apartment complex on Saturday night.

According to police reports, Officer Jeff Carreau and other patrolmen were dispatched to the apartment complex at 9:37 p.m. to investigate an alleged assault involving vandalism to a motor vehicle.

At that time, officers were unable to locate either the victim or the suspects, but the Pizza Market deliveryman later again contacted police from his workplace about an hour later to report the crime.

According to the 19-year-old, he had just dropped off an order to a customer and was returning to the parking area when four men confronted him and ordered him to turn over his money.

When the deliveryman refused, the suspects attacked the victim, knocking him to the ground and attempting to reach into his pockets while punching him.

The 19-year-old was able to scramble back to his feet and he quickly fled the area, but not before observing his assailants smashing a large stick off of his car.

In addition to noticing several dents on the car, police noted that the vehicle's windshield had been shattered.
