Playoff Bound

The Woburn High football team defeated Winchester on Thanksgiving, 35-7, to clinch its first Middlesex League title since 1993. With the win the Tanners will head to the Division 2 playoffs where they will host Acton-Boxborough next Tuesday at Connolly Stadium (7 p.m.).

Reading also earns a share of the ML title by virtue of its 33-14 romp over Stoneham, but Woburn gets the playoff berth because it beat the Rockets in their head-to-head meeting (6-0) back on Oct. 12.
