Captain Pizza proprietor arresteed on drug charges

BURLINGTON — The man associated with Captain Pizza, a Center Street business seized by the state Department of Revenue for non-payment of taxes recently, was arrested on multiple, unrelated charges Thursday, police said.

According to the log, Thomas Pettiglio, 40, of Manchester, N.H., was pulled over near Sears and Center streets.

The log indicates Pettiglio was arrested and charged with operating with a suspended or revoked license, a subsequent offense; possession of a Class B substance, a subsequent offense; and receiving stolen property valued over $250.

Police said Pettiglio's vehicle was seized for a subsequent narcotics search involving the K-9 unit.

The arrest was made by patrolmen Paul Glejzer and David M. McLean; the incident was logged at 4:06 p.m., Thursday.

Thefts

There were several reports of theft in the log, including a call from an employee of Ritz Camera at the Burlington Mall, who told police several cameras were stolen Thursday.

Patrolman Robert Reyes investigated with the incident logged at 11:24 a.m., Thursday.

* An employee of 25 Mall Road told police a Dell laptop computer was recently stolen from an office; this was logged at 9 a.m., Friday, and Patrolman Spiros Tsingos investigated.

* An automatic flusher — valued at $500, police said — was reported stolen out of the Burger King restaurant on Middlesex Turnpike Friday.

Patrolman Kevin Rogers investigated with the incident logged at 12:53 p.m., Friday.

* A woman told police her iPod was stolen while she shopped at The Limited at the Burlington Mall Thursday; Reyes investigated with the incident logged at 3:07 p.m., the same day.

* A man told police his car was broken into and robbed while parked at the Papa Razzi on Wall Street Tuesday night.

A Dell laptop computer valued at $1,200 was stolen from the vehicle, and a passenger-side door was scratched, police said.

Rogers investigated with the incident logged at 9:36 p.m., Tuesday.

Miscellaneous

A Ward Street man told police his house was broken into recently; no further details were available.

Patrolman Charles Ferguson III investigated with the incident logged at 9:14 a.m., Saturday.

* The equipment at Regan Park on Sumpter Road was spray-painted over the weekend, police said; Youth Services Officer and Detective Thomas Fournier was notified.

The incident was logged Sunday, and Patrolman Timothy Kirchner initially investigated.

* Police are investigating a discovery of "numerous bags of meat" found Sunday under the high-tension wires at Fox Hill Road and Skilton Lane.

Kirchner investigated with the incident logged at 3:25 p.m., Sunday.
